It’s This policy explains how we collect and use your personal data when you visit this holding page at take-note.uk and sign up to hear about our launch. It covers this page only, once the full take-note shop is live, this policy will be replaced with a fuller version covering orders, payments and deliveries.

Who we are

take-note is a trading name of Fresh Bread Marketing Limited, registered in England & Wales (company no. 07970901), registered office: Hillcrest Road, Barnstaple, EX32 9EP.

For any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at: hello@take-note.uk

What we collect

Right now, this page only collects the email address you choose to give us when you sign up to be notified about our launch. We don't collect names, addresses, or any other personal details at this stage, and there is no payment or checkout functionality on this holding page.

Why we collect it, and our legal basis

We use your email address to let you know when take-note launches, and to send occasional updates about the brand in the meantime. We do this on the basis of your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a), and in line with PECR for electronic marketing) given when you submit the sign-up form. You can withdraw this consent at any time (see "Your rights" below).

How your data is stored

We use Mailchimp (The Rocket Science Group, LLC, based in the United States) to collect and store sign-up email addresses and to send our emails. Mailchimp is certified under the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, and also relies on Standard Contractual Clauses, both of which are recognised bases for transferring personal data from the UK to the US. You can read Mailchimp's own privacy notice at mailchimp.com/legal/privacy.

How long we keep it

We'll keep your email address as long as you remain subscribed, that is until you unsubscribe, ask us to delete it, or we complete the purpose it was collected for (notifying you of launch) and decide it's no longer needed. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see below).

Cookies and analytics

This holding page does not currently use cookies or analytics tools. If we add analytics (for example, Google Analytics) in future, we will update this policy first and put an appropriate cookie notice and consent mechanism in place before doing so.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Have inaccurate data corrected
  • Ask us to delete your data
  • Restrict or object to how we use your data
  • Receive your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw your consent at any time (simplest way: click "unsubscribe" in any email, or contact us directly)

You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) — ico.org.uk, or 0303 123 1113, though we'd appreciate the chance to sort things out directly first.

Children

This page is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect data from, anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this policy as take-note develops. Check back here for the latest version.
